Zero Conditional.

1. If you don’t hand in your assignment on time, you get a punishment.
2. If you are a half-hearted student, you don’t really learn.
3. The project loses its meaning if you leave out part of the information.
4. If you expose yourself to English every day, you improve faster.
5. My friends always back me up if I count on them.

First Conditional

1. If your family hosts an American student, you’ll practise English.
2. If you expect too much/have too many expectations, you’ll lose the opportunity.
3. You’ll have more free time if you attend the course part-time.
4. If you meet the requirements, you’ll be able to take part.
5. You won’t get your university degree if you don’t pass all your subjects.

Second Conditional

1. If I were your roommate, I’d help you keep the room tidy.
2. If I were really into art, I’d visit that exhibition.
3. If I had more time, I’d take a course to enhance/improve my skills.
4. I’d attend more classes if I weren’t forced to work.
5. I could enhance/improve the presentation if I knew how to use that program.

Third Conditional

1. You would have finished your degree if you hadn’t dropped out.
2. If we had handed in the assignment earlier, we would have got a better grade.
3. We would have convinced the teacher if you had backed me up in the meeting.
4. If we hadn’t chosen this short-term solution, we would have solved the problem.
5. If I had tried harder, I would have created a more eye-catching project.

UNIT 2. VOCABULARY AND CONDITIONAL SENTENCES

Condicional tipo 0. Hechos generales o situaciones que siempre ocurren si se cumple la condición.

1. Si no entregas tus tareas a tiempo, recibes un castigo.
2. Si eres un estudiante con poco entusiasmo, no aprendes de verdad.
3. El trabajo pierde sentido si dejas fuera parte de la información.
4. Si te expones al inglés cada día, mejoras más rápido.
5. Mis amigos siempre me respaldan si cuento con ellos.

Condicional tipo 1. Situaciones reales o posibles en el futuro.

1. Si tu familiar aloja a un estudiante americano, practicaréis inglés.
2. Si tienes demasiadas expectativas, perderás la oportunidad.
3. Tendrás más horas libres si asistes al curso a tiempo parcial,
4. Si cumples con los requisitos, podrás participar.
5. No obtendrás tu grado universitario si no apruebas todas las asignaturas.

Condicional tipo 2. Situaciones hipotéticas o poco probables en el presente o futuro.

1. Si yo fuera tu compañero de habitación, te ayudaría a mantener la habitación ordenada.
2. Si estuviera realmente interesado en el arte, visitaría esa exposición.
3. Si tuviera más tiempo, haría un curso para mejorar mis habilidades.
4. Asistiría a más clases si no me viera obligado a trabajar.
5. Podría mejorar la presentación si supiera usar ese programa.

Condicional tipo 3. Situaciones hipotéticas en el pasado; cosas que no ocurrieron.

1. Habrías terminado la carrera si no hubieras dejado los estudios.
2. Si hubiéramos entregado la tarea antes, habríamos obtenido mejor nota.
3. Habríamos convencido al profesor si me hubieras respaldado en la reunión.
4. Si no hubiéramos elegido esta solución a corto plazo, habríamos solucionado el problema.
5. Si me hubiera esforzado más, habría creado un proyecto más llamativo.
